The Founding Stewards Circle.
More and more of us are feeling the same thing. If AI keeps moving the way it is moving, the world we leave to the people after us will not be the one we would have wanted for them. And the choices that decide that are being made right now, by whoever cares enough to show up. This is a moment that asks to be stewarded, and the care of it falls to us. To steward something is to look after it for people you will never meet, simply because they matter. Our children, and their children, will live inside whatever we let become normal now. A Founding Steward is someone who steps in early, while the direction can still be shaped, so that the ones who come after us look back and feel that we were thinking of them, that we pointed AI toward human flourishing on purpose and did it for their sake. That is what we are here to steward. In the end, it is a simple act of care for people we will never meet.
The Founding 100 is the first hundred individuals and family offices to support humanaligned.org as Founding Stewards. The founding cohort is the public record of who chose to be in at the beginning. The cohort closes June 1, 2027, and the founding circle will not reopen.
What a founding gift supports.
It funds the public-good work: holding the frame in the open, connecting and synthesizing the field, convening the coalition, and telling the story of what is working. It does not fund the commercial pilots. Those are built by Human Aligned Ventures with commercial capital. The separation is deliberate. A gift to humanaligned.org supports the public-good work and only that, never a stake in a commercial venture.
What stewards receive.
A place in the public record of the founding cohort. Invitations to the gatherings where the work is shaped, beginning with Bay Area convenings and extending up the West Coast. Briefings and synthesis ahead of public release. Direct, substantive visibility into where the work is moving and where it is meeting friction.
The founding gift.
There is no fixed price on a founding gift. The right level is the one that reflects your conviction and your capacity, and we will talk it through together. Gifts are made through humanaligned.org's fiscal sponsor, which provides the legal and tax infrastructure of a registered public charity, so your gift can be received on a tax-advantaged basis now.
How it works.
The conversation precedes the gift. We begin with a short conversation, because we want the work to be right for you. We do not solicit and we do not sell. The next step is simply a conversation.
